YK-11 EFFECT:
YK-11 is currently being researched in Japan by a government-sponsored team of scientists. A study on YK-11 dates back to 2011 and concluded that YK-11 is a SARM because it binds partially to androgen receptors, but has only a fraction of the typical androgen-related side effects such as prostate growth.
A second study from 2013 examined the effect of YK-11 on C2C12 muscle cells in a Petri dish. Administration of muscle cells with YK-11 has been found to produce more anabolic factors than a comparable amount of dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
The breakthrough feature of this study is that YK-11 stimulates muscle cells to produce more follistatin, an inhibitor of myostatin. Since myostatin is the limiting factor in muscle growth, blockade means, in simplified and theoretical terms, infinite muscle growth
